Reese is on the move again. Where in the world is our wonder boy visiting today?
Here’s a hint;
At the top of this hill there’s mysterious fairy forts built among the trees and stone walls. There are also several stone structures.
Did you guess the Knockma Woods in Co Galway, Ireland? You’re right!
Even though you can’t tell from Reese’s selfie, these woods contain cairns. Two of these are said to be the burial places of Queen Maebh of Connacht and of Finnbhearra, King of the Connacht fairies.
Let’s explore Reese’s location further.
Did you know?
Being of limestone, it was believed that the fairies inhabited the ‘Otherworld’.
This ‘Otherworld’ connected with Ireland at various points, such as caves, cracks in the earth and other passageways, like springs. At its summit, the hill has many Burren-like cracks.
Where in the world is he off to now? Be sure to join us next time when Reese will explore another fun, fact-filled location.
