By, Sumal – Age 12
She sat down at the desk,
She had sat down everyday
And dipped her pen in the ink
That always let her say
The words floating in her mind
Without having to make a sound.
The paper
Did not crumple
Or curl
As she set the ink down.
It stayed still for her words
Absorbing the emotion
That she sent its way.
With every dip of ink,
And stroke of pen
The paper obeyed,
Resulting in a poem
Worth putting on display.
Thank you, Sumal, for the AWESOME poem! Keep up the great work!

Hi, Sumal. I am a Poet, too. Your poem really captured the way it feels to be able to write your own thoughts. I would like to read more of your poems. Thank you.
