There’s nothing like a cup of hot cocoa on a chilly winter’s day.
Check out this yummy recipe for a DIY peanut butter hot cocoa that is sure to make you want more!
What You Need
- Small saucepan
- 3 tbsp of smooth peanut butter
- 1 1/4 cup of milk
- 2 tbsp of brown or white sugar
- 1 tbsp of unsweetened baking cocoa
- 1 dollop of whipped cream (optional)
Note: you can also use a few large marshmallows or mini marshmallows in place of the whipped cream.
Step #1 – Place 1/4 cup of milk and the peanut butter in the saucepan.
Step #2 – Whisk on medium heat until peanut butter is melted and smooth.
Step #3 – Add the sugar and cocoa.
Step #4 – Whisk until smooth.
Step #5 – Add the rest of the milk. Whisk until hot, but not boiling.
Step #6 – Carefully remove from stove and pour into your favorite mug.
Step #7 – Top with a dollop of whipped cream or add some marshmallows.
