The first emoji was created in 1999 by Shigetaka Kurita in Japan 🗾.
As of July 2017, 60 million emojis are sent on Facebook every day.
In a ranking of the world’s top 10 used emojis on Facebook, the laughing with tears emoji 😂, the heart eyes emoji 😍, and the kissy face emoji 😗 were listed as the top three.
Who uses more emojis girls or boys? The girls win at 78%. Only 60% of boys use emojis.
