Audio Poem – The Swan

Listen and read-along with this charming poem by, Lousie Pocock.

How I wish that I could be

a plain and perfect duck.

You see my neck is far too long;

I wish that it were short and strong.

I primp and preen by day and night

to keep my feathers white and bright.

And when a pal calls out “QUACK QUACK”,

I “HONK” instead of quacking back.

Oh how I wish that I could be

a plain and perfect duck!
