About the Creator

Mike Paulis who was born and raised in Lincoln Illinois, now lives in Springfield Illinois and is the creator and illustrator of the popular comic strip ‘The North Side’. He also is the illustrator of approximately 7 children’s picture books written by his wife Mary Ann.He also has illustrated “The Great Buttinski”, a children’s book designed to make children think.  Mike is a Lincoln College graduate where he earned an ‘AA’ and went on to Northern Illinois University and graduated with a ‘BFA’ degree in Design. 

He has created and distributed Hockey and Soccer Sports cards. He has also designed and illustrated book covers for several local artists. Mike has created and illustrated Christmas cards which have become very popular during Christmas season.
