Audio Story – Two Grammas!

Listen to and read-along with this fun story by, Jo Carol Hebert.

My ‘Everyday Gramma’ takes care of me while Mommy and Daddy work. She comes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

My Weekend Gramma comes to visit me on Saturday and Sunday.

My ‘Everyday Gramma’ dresses me in shirts with yellow ducks. We have scrambled eggs, orange juice, and butter toast.

She takes me to preschool in her little blue car. She picks me up at 12 o’clock. We go to the park and have peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches cut in four pieces.

My ‘Weekend Gramma’ arrives from outer space in her rocket ship. We put on our space suits with big, round helmets and heavy boots.

We blast off to the moon. Sometimes we travel to a far and distant star, We see volcanos exploding with fire and hot lava. We collect moon rocks. We float and tumble in the light air. The earth is a blue and green ball far below.

When we get home, we are hungry. We make SnickerDoodle cookies and green Jell-O. We paint our moon rocks yellow and glue on googly eyes. We build a Lego tower up to the sky. We play ‘hide and seek’.

My ‘Weekend Gramma’ can never find me!

Then, my ‘Weekend Gramma’ has to blast off in her rocket ship to her home in Texas. I wave until she is out of sight.

On Monday, my ‘Everyday Gramma’ comes back.

She dresses me in shirts with yellow ducks. We have scrambled eggs, orange juice, and butter toast. She takes me to preschool in her little blue car. She picks me up at 12 o’clock. We go to the park and have peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches cut in four pieces.

I have 2 Grammas. They come and go on different days. But, I know, they love me in their special, different ways.
