A Drawing By Callie
This “wolf dog” is an awesome drawing. But did you know there are real Wolf Dogs in the world?
Howling Fun Facts About the Wolf Dog
- A Wolf Dog is a cross between a dog (usually a Husky) and a wolf.
- Wolves are “crepuscular.” This means they are most active at dawn and dusk.
- The wolf species has a bigger skull than normal dogs. They also have bigger brains, too!
- Because wolves are much thinner than dogs, and have really long legs, they can run faster than our doggy friends.
- The largest species of wolf is the Mackenzie Valley Wolf. It can reach weights up to 175 pounds!
